photo agencies - the Russian Information Agency-Novosti (RIA-Novosti). Novosti means "news" in Russian; its archives cover every aspect of Russian life, history and culture. A team of staff photographers is constantly adding fresh material on all subject areas. Novosti provides imagery of social-political, economic, scientific and financial subjects. With both historical and contemporary material, Novosti has been in operation in various forms for over 60 years.
