Billed as an Aquarian Exposition, the Woodstock Music & Art Fair, brought three days of peace and music to Max Yasgur's bucolic dairy farm in Bethel, NY.

An audience of more than 400,000 people experienced music by thirty-two of the greatest musicians of the day, including Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, The Who and Joe Cocker.

The people and the performers shared the music, the rain, the mud and the joy of a communal experience that changed their lives in countless ways.
